No Quarter presents taxidermy sculptures and photographic work by the Danish artist Tune Andersen, as shown in his exhibition celebrating the Court Theatre’s 250 years old existence.

Tune Andersen’s taxidermy sculptures are inspired by the old scientific method – taxidermy – of conserving and identifying animal species, which in the 19th century was used in private and public exhibitions and cabinets of curiosities, and lately has found new expressions and use in the international arts. Tune Andersen’s sculptures of stuffed animals refer directly to the conditions and mask play of our human existence, hence the title “No Quarter”, life is without mercy.

The photographic work supplements, in grotesque portraits, the staging of life.                                            www.tuneandersen.dk
